When I saw H&M key chain, I fell in love with its clasp. And right away I pictured my DIY bracelet. Lately I’ve been seeing chain link bracelets with colorful threads woven through them everywhere. This of course, has got me wanting something similar.
You’ll need:
• a key chain from H&M
• embroidery thread
• a pair of scissors
• pliers
Take the key chain apart. If the chain is too big, remove extra links. Connect the chains with one clasp using one jump ring. Use pliers to close the jump ring. Repeat the steps for the other side. Now that your chain is ready, it’s time to make your braided bracelet.
Cut 3 sets of 12 strands of embroidery thread, with each strand measuring approximately 13 inches. Knot all the threads at the top, and braid. I used tape to hold my bracelet in place while braiding.
When you reached the end of the bracelet, finish it with a knot. Tie the braided bracelet to the chain bracelet with extra 2 strands of thread.
Trim the ends.
